Projects around the Córdoba logistics base and UAV development will be preferred lines of collaboration
The aeronautical company Pegasus Aviación and the leading Spanish company in defense and security engineering Star Defense Logistics & Engineering (SDLE) have signed a strategic understanding agreement by which they commit to the joint study and analysis of technological and training initiatives that result in the development of projects with a high innovative component and experience in Industry 4.0, specifically in the aerospace and defense sector, where both companies have extensive experience.
The agreement has been signed by the Vice President JR of Pegasus Aero Group, Miguel Ángel Tamarit and the CCO of Star Defense Logistics & Engineering, Raúl Pérez, within the framework of the “On Industry” Conference held these days at the University of Córdoba, and Córdoba is established as one of the essential pillars for the development of this type of project.
Among the lines of work stand out projects related to unmanned vehicles (UAV) of different categories and that generate solutions in security, defense, civil protection and the environment. Additionally, the parties will undertake, through SDLE’s experience, the study, feasibility and analysis of projects that may be generated around the Córdoba logistics base. Additionally, both companies will work to incorporate knowledge agents, technology centers and universities into the project.
In this sense, Pegasus Aviación has personnel experienced in engineering and other technological fields of aviation in general, as well as extensive and innovative facilities in the province of Córdoba close to the base. For its part, SDLA brings, in addition to extensive experience in work carried out for defense, an outstanding specialization and high qualification in the integration of unmanned aerial systems for professional use and, especially, anti-drone systems and solutions to improve situational awareness of the land vehicles.
