The Air Force and the Andalusia Aerospace cluster have signed a collaboration agreement between both entities in order to bring the Andalusian aerospace industry and the Air Force closer together.
The Tablada site has been the setting in which the signing of a collaboration agreement between the Air Force and the Andalusia Aerospace cluster has been carried out. Present, on behalf of the cluster, were the president of Andalucía Aerospace, Antonio Gómez-Guillamón and its Managing Director, Juan Román, and on behalf of the Air Force, the general director of Teaching of the Commands, Enrique Jesús Biosca.
The agreement aims to promote dialogue at a technical level between the Air Force and the Andalusian aerospace cluster, to collaborate jointly in R & D & i initiatives, development of technologies in the aerospace sector, knowledge and technical training in the sector, as well as in those other activities that were of common interest to both parties.
Gómez-Guillamón highlighted that “with the conclusion of this agreement it is expected to establish even more fluid channels of communication between both parties, with the common purpose of enhancing the activity of the aerospace sector.”
For his part, General Biosca recalled that “the cooperation established coincides with one of the directives of the National Defense Directive to promote and protect an innovative Defense industry, capable of being integrated into projects and business groups, emphasizing the need to promote research, development and innovation ”.
During the meeting held in this same act, a review was given of the current situation of the aerospace sector, commenting, among other matters, the important role that the A400M aircraft has played this summer in the evacuation of passengers and goods from Afghanistan.
With the signing of this agreement, Andalucía Aerospace continues to be linked to related entities, such as the Air Force, that help it in its purpose of promoting the aerospace sector, working for its growth and value, to seek synergies, valuable collaborations and pave the way for future initiatives.
