This logistics enclave will serve the Airbus centers in Cádiz and Tablada and the Aciturri company
Rhenus Warehousing Solutions will manage the production logistics of the new Falcon 10X in southern Spain from the Seville Aerohub, the logistics center developed for Airbus in Spain. The Falcon 10X is the business jet designed and manufactured by the French aeronautical manufacturer Dassault Aviation and in whose manufacture Airbus participates.
Located in Aerópolis, the Aerohub was inaugurated by Rhenus Warehousing in the summer of 2022. The facility will become the warehouse for the Airbus centers in Bahía de Cádiz (CBC) and Tablada, as well as the subcontractor company Aciturri, which will actively participate in manufacturing work on this model.
The specialist in storage solutions will provide reception, technical inspection, storage, inventory, picking, grouping and delivery services to the assembly line. This agreement is part of the Falcon 10X program, through which Airbus will manufacture part of the empennage of this new aircraft, made up of the horizontal and vertical tail stabilizer.
“This new project reinforces our strategic relationship with Airbus and consolidates Rhenus’s position as a reference ‘partner’ in the aeronautical industry. We will continue working to maintain excellence in the quality of our services in this sector, which requires complex logistics, dedication and a high degree of precision in storage”, has pointed out the director of Business Development of Rhenus Warehousing Solutions for Spain, Julio Sáez.
Rhenus accumulates a solid track record in the aeronautical sector, endorsed by clients of the size of Airbus. The storage logistics specialist has provided its services for almost two decades for the Airbus factories in Cádiz and Seville. At the beginning of 2020, Rhenus acquired the Spanish LTK, specialized in logistics for the aerospace industry, which was a significant boost for the company in this sector.
With this new project, the company continues to take strategic steps in this market. According to Andreas Plikat, Managing Director of Rhenus Warehousing Solutions, “The aeronautical sector is one of the main growth drivers for Rhenus Warehousing Solutions worldwide. We will continue working to significantly boost this business in the coming years.”
