The Engineering company returns to FEINDEF, this time as General Sponsor
CT, a leading engineering company in technological innovation throughout the entire product life cycle, has once again participated in FEINDEF, showing its role as an integrator of 4.0 technologies with interoperability software solutions for collaborative missions.
The company has shown its support as General Sponsor of this event which, in the words of its Country Manager, José Evelio Jiménez, “makes companies in the Spanish industry visible, something very important, because it gives us the opportunity to learn about the capabilities of each and add value together. In addition, it allows us to know the needs of the sector, which helps us plan future competitions, innovation and the necessary investment”.
Interoperability, key to training in collaborative missions
This year, CT has focused on its ability to interoperate several simulators in real time, interacting in the same virtual space and using different 4.0 technologies.
Visitors to its stand have been able to test the use case of a collaborative mission, from the positions of two simulators – an F18 aircraft and a Mistral system. The simulation experience is developed in a mixed reality environment: the interaction with the physical controls has an effect in the virtual environment, designed in collaboration with Aechelon Technology, which they will be able to see thanks to a pair of Virtual Reality glasses from the Varjo brand, from which CT is a distributor.
With this, CT intends to highlight the added value of the integration, of the communication of the different platforms involved, a service that the company offers its clients in a comprehensive manner, selecting the best technology providers based on the needs of each project.
Proof of this is the company’s most recent success story, its collaboration with HALO Space, a Spanish space tourism company, which has successfully launched its first round-trip flight into the stratosphere. CT leads this program as integrator of all phases, being responsible for engineering, design and stress tasks, as well as communication and FTI, and the electrical system of the capsule.
LAB METOC, a decision support platform for military operations
CT has chosen FEINDEF as a showcase for the presentation of its LAB METOC platform for the first time in Spain. This decision support platform aims to assess the evolution of environmental conditions to ensure the success of military operations. To do this, it uses a combination of meteorological conditions and other impact data such as oceanography, geography, and observation data from sensors.
Developed by its team of engineers in France, present at the stand, LAB METOC offers services in three different areas: risk assessment of a mission based on the data collected and its evolution, identification of the most favorable time and place to carry out carry out the mission and support decision-making with clear and concise information.
Applied engineering solutions based on Industry 4.0 for the naval field.
Part of the CT stand has been dedicated to the naval field, a strong pillar in the company’s defense activity since its inception. Specialists from its different delegations in Ferrol, Cartagena, Saint-Nazaire or La Forêt-Fouesnant (France), have presented their engineering and digital transformation solutions that cover the product life cycle from the ideation of a ship to its commissioning and its useful life. All this with special emphasis on applied engineering, and specifically on integrated logistics support, in which they have more than 500,000 hours of experience.
3DEXPERIENCE, the strategic solution for defense programs
CADTECH, a company belonging to CT and partner of Dassault Systèmes, presented the multiple benefits of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform for the strategic management of defense programs, such as facilitating and accelerating innovation, increasing quality and reducing costs.
José María Prats, Key Account Manager of CADTECH, explained that “given the multiple challenges that military operations face, ranging from the complexity of operations, innovation, budget compliance, collaboration and coordination between departments, companies, countries, even cyber security risks, having a single environment and complete traceability of the project, is a guarantee of success”.
