The international firm is currently participating in the Farnborough International Airshow, one of the most important air shows in the world, which is recovering the face-to-face format

The Farnborough International Airshow (FIA 2022) kicks off, one of the most important air shows in the world, which has once again recovered the face-to-face format after the last virtual edition held in 2020. Manufacturers, suppliers and the most prominent firms in the aerospace, defense, security and space meet in this town in Hampshire until July 22, including Aertec, the international company specializing in aerospace technology.

Aertec has been participating for a decade in this important industry event in the UK, where it has had a subsidiary since 2013, which has allowed it to consolidate as a provider of specialized industrial engineering and manufacturing services, especially in tooling design for the aeronautical sector. The company is also a strategic supplier of engineering services to Airbus, together with the Indian multinational Tech Mahindra. A technological alliance that is not only limited to supporting the aeronautical programs of Airbus in all its divisions, subsidiaries and affiliates; the two companies are already collaborating in other areas such as software and hardware development and production management.

At the Farnborough Air Show, Aertec will also be showing its specialization as a consultant for “Programme Management Office” services, which it is already developing together with EOCEN in Spain, France, Germany and Canada, and which it intends to implement in the United Kingdom. The company is also looking to consolidate alliances in the MRO sector.

“Farnborough is an excellent platform to show the industry everything we do at Aertec around the digitization and automation of technological solutions, which are the trends that are marking the aeronautical and aerospace sector. The United Kingdom, moreover, is a strategic market for us, where we want to continue growing in areas where we are positioned but also advance in the implementation of other services that we already develop in other countries”, says Ángel Lucena, Director of the Aeronautical Industry division of Aertec.

FIA 2022 focuses an important part of its program on the sustainability of aviation, and on those innovations and developments that will reduce the climate impact of the aerospace sector. Aertec has been working for years on the zero emission aircraft, being one of its priorities in its R&D program, and is at the forefront of aircraft electrification, thanks to the design and development of HVDC power distribution solutions – High Voltage Direct Current and electrical systems that replace hydraulic or pneumatic ones.

For Darren Culshaw, Country Manager of Aertec in the United Kingdom, “the gradual recovery of the aeronautical sector will be visible in Farnborough, a recovery that is based on decarbonisation and sustainability, and on all the developments and technologies that are contributing to a greener aviation. And here Aertec has numerous solutions that add great value to the industry”.
