Pegasus Aero Group, the first Spanish company in its sector to join the Spanish Network of the United Nations Global Compact (UN), in its firm commitment to minimize the environmental impact of its activity, has started the calculation of its emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG), as part of its Strategic Plan for the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals and those of the 2030 Agenda.

This important initiative not only includes obtaining the total amount of greenhouse gas emissions generated during a base year, but also quantifying their direct and indirect impact and studying the possibilities of reducing and offsetting the CO2 emissions emitted by the company. in your daily activity.

This project, framed within the PE2025 Strategic Plan and promoted by the company’s Quality, Safety and Environment Department, has the ultimate objective of identifying the specific actions to be carried out for the benefit of the environment and the Environment.

The President of Pegasus Aero Group, Antonio Fornieles, has indicated that “reducing the impact of our activity on the environment is one of our main commitments, since the protection of nature is one of our fundamental values ​​and a hallmark of our identity”.

This inventory of greenhouse gas emissions will soon be registered in the Registry of carbon footprint, compensation and carbon dioxide absorption projects of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, forming part of the group of Spanish companies committed to this challenge.
