The CLAH2RENH3CE project (PTAG-20231003) belongs to the Aeronautical Technology Program (PTA) subsidized by CDTI

CT leads the ambitious European CLAH2RENH3CE project, a consortium formed together with SOFITEC, INDAERO GRUPO EMERGY SL and Edair Technologies, dedicated to the development of an innovative hydrogen and ammonia storage and distribution system for aircraft. This project seeks to integrate advanced solutions such as additive manufacturing and the use of composite materials in non-autoclave processes, with the collaboration of prestigious institutions such as CATEC, the Polytechnic University of Valencia, the University of Seville and the CTA.

The system, designed from both a functional and structural point of view, has as its main objective to achieve zero-emission aviation in the short term, directly addressing the urgent need for environmental sustainability in the sector. The consortium will also focus its efforts on the analysis of continuous mixed combustion and the study of all the elements of the propulsion system, using cryogenized hydrogen and ammonia in a super-critical state.

In addition, work is being done on the development of a functional mock-up that includes fuel fluid tanks and their connections, which will allow the proposed solutions to be implemented and validated directly on an aircraft. This comprehensive approach will facilitate the exploration of creative and innovative options, reinforcing CT’s leadership in moving towards a greener and more sustainable aeronautical industry.
