The Andalusian Knowledge Agency (AAC) organizes a virtual conference to present in Andalusia the calls for Space for 2021-2022 of Cluster 4 of Horizon Europe (HE), the Framework Program for Research and Innovation of the European Union for the period 2021-2027, in collaboration with the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) and the Aerospace Technology Park of Andalusia, Aerópolis.
With a budget of more than € 95,000 million, this Program will finance the main research and innovation ideas and projects in Europe, through its three pillars: Excellent Science (Pillar I), Global Challenges and Industrial Competitiveness in Europe (Pillar II) , and Innovative Europe (Pillar III); in addition to the other fundamental component: Expanding participation and Strengthening the European Research Area.
Space is one of the priority areas of Cluster 4, whose objectives include strengthening the capacities and sovereignty of the European Union in the field of space through the development of new satellite telecommunications systems, earth observation systems and services in orbit; robotics and electric propulsion technologies; technologies critical to non-dependency, secure satellite telecommunications and navigation applications, or space science and exploration.
Andrea Pérez Carro and Ainara Ripa, National Contact Points (NCPs) of Cluster 4 in CDTI and in the National Institute of Aerospace Technology (INTA), respectively, will present the details of the calls related to this subject and will reel off practical aspects related to the preparation of proposals.
In addition, participants who request it will have the opportunity to hold meetings to review their project ideas with the NCP Andrea Pérez Carro. To do this, they must indicate it when registering by completing the proposal form and sending it to space.aac@juntadeandalucia.es before June 17 (3:00 p.m.).
The conference will be aimed at companies, research groups, technology centers, public entities, public research organizations (OPIs) and the general public and the registration deadline will be June 21 at (10:00 a.m.).
