The Regional Head of Economic Transformation, Industry, Knowledge and Universities, Rogelio Velasco, has announced the decision of his department to consign in the Budgets for next year an item of 4.5 million to promote an initiative in the field of unmanned aircraft.<\/p>\n
It is the UAVs and Air Mobility Innovation Center, whose activity will focus on advances in technologies applied to drones. This center, added to unique infrastructures such as CEUS or Atlas, will give the Andalusian region a decisive competitive advantage over the rest of the territories in this segment.<\/p>\n
This is an initiative of the University of Seville and FADA-CATEC and will have the support of the Regional Government and the collaboration of Andaluc\u00eda Aeroespace Cluster, Airbus and the Air Force. It will be technically led by An\u00edbal Ollero, a Sevillian robotics professor and one of the greatest European experts in drones.<\/p>\n
The objective of this equipment is to generate knowledge that allows Andaluc\u00eda to maintain its scientific and technological leadership in unmanned aerial vehicle technologies for civil applications and, in particular, for its application to urban air mobility.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
